Accolades for Letters to a Girl
"Reading Letters to a Girl
is like curling up on the sofa with a blanket and mug of tea...now
the dog climbs up with you and you pet her soft head, then
the phone rings and your best friend calls just to say she
misses you. Each moment brings a more layered experience of
soothing joy, and so it goes as you turn the pages of this
beautiful book.
The women's letters remind us to be lovely just as we are.
We are glorious girls and that is cause enough to celebrate
life. And whether we are living with passion, grit, softness
or in solitude, the book is a touchstone for girls of any
age. It is a gentle and poignant reminder that the voices
of each woman is the voice of us all."

captures everything you ever thought about writing down for
your daughter, but could never find the time or the words.
The letters vary as much in content as do the backgrounds
of their authors. From single moms, new immigrants, and women
with long and established careers, these voices all blend
together to bring forth words of resilience, love and hope
(everything we wish someone would have written down and sent
to us!)”
